The Abingdon Bookstore is an independent bookshop which has been in the Bury Street precinct in Abingdon since it opened in November 1998. We have always strived to make shopping as pleasurable an experience as possible for its customers and always puts customer service top of our priorities.
We carry a broad range of books, many discounted to competitive prices and whenever possible signed copies, apart from bestsellers, generalfiction, biographies, history, cookery, sport, classics, gardening and natural history we carry a comprehensive range of o/s maps and travel guides plus local history.
We have an outstanding range of books for children of all ages from general fiction to early learning and revision through KS1,Sats and all the way up to GCSE and A-level. We have always maintained good links with the local schools and supply many with their books.
Our ordering service gives access to a huge selection not in store but available for next day delivery to the shop.
Our range of delightful greeting cards is extensive and is complimented by some lovely wrap. We also have a range of jewellery and scarves, doorstops which you just have to see and a new range of children’s craft kits. Add in all sorts of other gifts, journals and stationary and mix with a smile and sense of humour and you get the bookstore.
